Purchase safety mats, or make sure that the model which you are going to purchase comes with safety mats and edge cover that totally wrap the springs, hooks and the frame. The mat and edge cover should be a contrasting colour to the jumping mat.

Also check the models which you are going to buy that have safety net as part of the trampoline kit or full set, or buy a safety net along with trampoline kit when you buy the trampoline. This will diminish the possibility of your child falling from the trampoline and touch to the ground.

Positioning of the Trampoline

Select a clear and plain area, which is clear from risks such as big trees, barbed wires, washing or water pipe lines, beams or other hazard equipments. Elegantly there should be a risk free safe fall region totally around the trampoline of at least 2 meters. Risk free safe fall region should also include bikes, skateboards and other toys that could be a hazard.

Never install the trampoline on a hard surface (i.e. concrete, hard packed mud) without some form of crash matting or safety netting but install on elastic, force gripping ground so that trampoline work easily and if ever your children fall from trampoline then they don’t get any major injury. Also never place trampoline on a rugged surface because trampoline will be unbalanced and your children would not play comfortably on trampoline and the chances of injuries are more. Also careful about the trampoline ladder, never use a ladder all the time with the trampoline because it provides unsupervised access to small children.
