Recommendations for Avoiding Children's Common Injuries While Using Trampoline

Hi to Everyone!!! How are you all? Hope you are all fine and enjoying your life. Today I am here with one more interesting and knowledgeable post. In my last post I discussed about few children’s common injuries while playing on trampoline. It’s a famous quote “If problems are there then solutions are also there”. So in this post I will give you few recommendations for avoiding children’s common injuries while using trampoline.

Recommendations for Diminishing the Hazard of Trampoline Injuries

  1. First is don't try to purchase a trampoline for your house! I know trampolines become more well liked in people, especially in Children and Young. It is a enjoyable way to get exercise, but there are more easy and safer ideas to boost your children to be physically active and strong, like playing catch, riding a bike (But with wearing a bike helmet), or playing a team sport.
  2. But if you want to purchase then never used mini and full-sized trampolines at home, either in schedule gym classes, or on playgrounds. If want to use then they must only be used in supervision under a training programs for gymnastics, diving, or other competitive sports and only and only one person should be allowable on a trampoline at any given time.
  3. If you decide to have a trampoline in home then following safety precautions consider:
  4. Always mature supervision required at all the times. Parents should vigorously see their children. Just being there probable does nothing to save children from getting injured so always guide all children on trampolines.
  5. Permit only one kid on a trampoline at a time for jumping. At the time of jumping only one kid should allow on trampoline.
  6. Do not give consent to jumpers to try somersaults, flips or others risky stunts. Especially children shouldn’t do flips and somersaults, because they can reason for fatal head and cervical spine injuries.
  7. Although the actuality that it won’t prevent every injury, check the trampoline has correct padding. For all time keep the trampoline springs enclosed with padding. Sufficient defensive padding on the trampoline that is in extremely fine condition and well placed.

Common Injuries While Using Trampoline

Hi Everyone!!! Hoping you all are fine and doing well and enjoying jumping on trampoline. Well many of persons think that which kind of injuries can occur while jumping and how we can avoid such kind of injuries. So today in this post I will explain few major injuries.

​Trampolines become famous and well-liked amongst the children and adolescence and even few adults. However, it might be enjoyment to bounce and do some stunts like somersaults on a trampoline, but landing not in a proper way can be reason for serious and permanent injuries. These injuries can also happen even when you are using trampoline with a safety net and padding or parents are surveillance and instructing to their children. Here are few Common injuries.

Common Injuries and Their Causes

Each year more than thousands of folks are injured on trampolines. But the most of these injuries occur on home trampolines or garden trampoline. The greatest risk of injury for children who are younger than 6 years. Injuries happened due to our negligence. We jump fast on trampoline but while landing we could not control our balance as a result our ankle twist and we fall down. Sometime we do try big stunts which performed by a professional jumper like somersaults etc. Sometime we jump off from trampoline to the ground while jumping mat is bouncing. Sometime we landed on mat on our head. Sometime we could not control our bouncing speed and direction and we stuck in springs. Sometime we don’t check either mat is in good condition or not. Jumping on tear mat can also the cause for injury. Sometime the springs are not properly covered. Sometime we start jumping on wet mat or water over there.

Common Injuries include:

  • Broken down of bones (Sometimes surgery is needed.)
  • Temporary unconsciousness and head injuries
  • Ache and anxiety
  • Blemish, scrapes, and cuts
  • Serious head and neck injuries (which can lead to permanent paralysis or death)

  
Causes for Children can get hurt when they:

  • During jumping they land in a wrong way.
  • It is must prohibited doing stunts on trampoline like Flipping and somersaults. These should not be allowed because of the risk of head and neck injuries.Try stunts also a big cause for injury to the children.
  • Landing in a wrong way during flipping and somersaults
  • While playing on trampoline strike or struck by another person.
  • Without a proper way fall or jump off the trampoline.
  • Land on the springs or frame.
  • Playing on trampoline without surveillance of parents.

How to Store Trampoline Safely

Hi to all. Hope you are all doing well and enjoying trampoline safely.

In my last two posts I discussed about few simple and easy suggestions for parents and children of how we can use trampoline safely. Hoping that those articles would helpful and interesting for you. You got lot of new informations from those articles. In this current post you will get to know about storage of your trampoline.

It is a very big question about how to store the trampoline safely. Sometime it becomes a tedious job to store the trampoline in a safe place without harming it and their accessories especially in winter season.   When trampoline is not in use then it is mandatory that it must store watchfully between of winter season because in this season the cold air, icy weather and fog can damage the trampoline and other accessories of it.

But now don’t worry more about the how you will store the trampoline and keep it safe. I will discuss here few simple points. With these points you will easily store your trampoline in a safe condition.

Points for Storing the Trampoline

  • Before dismenting the trampoline clean the trampoline, spring mat, jumping mat, edge cover and trampoline cover with warm and foamy water with detergent or liquid for wash and allow them to dry each and every thing. With this most of the insects and their larvaes remove. It is must that all things totally dry before you store the trampoline.

  • Always buy not less than one big and extra-large plastic boxes which must have wheels attach at bottom of the box because when you will collect the all things and try to pack whole trampoline kit in a box then it would be full of excess weight and you will not be capable to shift it without any help of others. Each box grasps a minimum weight of 50 gallons for a simple 12-foot large round trampoline, but in case your trampoline is in rectangular shape or larger than 12 feet then the boxes should be bigger. It is your wish if you want to purchase only one large storage space box in the place of more than one box, but always keep in mind about the weight.

  • Look a good and safe place for the storage of big boxes. Select that place which is cool, dry and easy to reach that place. Place boxes on selected place when they are empty because it will be heavy after filled. You will just go to that location and take all the parts.

  • Disassemble is also an art or a technique. Lay down all the accessories and pieces of trampoline on the ground in a sorted order. First of all, place all the trampoline springs first in the bottom of 1 box. After that according to their shapes and sizes grouped them all frameworks and lay into box smartly.

  • Scatter out your jumping mat, edge cover and safety net in the open area. Pack with many dryer sheets( or you can use here air bubble rolls) on everything. These dryer sheets prevent trampoline from mice and others insects.

  • Roll each and every item in above point into the least small packet if possible. If you will roll them then these take small amount of space than folding. Put each and every item turn into a pillowcase and these cases put into the box. These pillowcases never shake the frameworks while boxes moving around.

  • All the things keep in a gallon sized zip seal bag and put these bags in box. Most important thing specially write down “Trampoline: 1 of 2" and "Trampoline: 2 of 2" on both boxes so that you can get every item easily.

How to Use Trampoline Safely Part 2

In my previous post I discussed few points about how can we use trampolines safely . In that post I suggested some simple and easy suggestions for parents. In this post I will share more suggestions for parents. Also few rules for children which if they follow then they will not get any injury during playing on trampoline. But it is the most important duty and responsibility of the parents that they must present near to the trampoline whenever their children are playing and always instruct them how to play on trampoline. Followings are the few easy and simple safety suggestions for both parents and children

Keep Trampoline Store Safely

It is very essential that a trampoline when it is not in use should be stored carefully, especially in the mean while of winter season when the air can harm the trampoline. Follow these points:-

  • Wash all the parts of trampoline.
  • Purchase more than one extra-large and strong plastic boxes
  • Search a safe and dry place for the plastic boxes for storage.
  • Disassemble your trampoline properly and carefully.
  • After dismenting the trampoline all the things of trampoline spread out in the yard separately.
  • Cover and role into the smallest packages every items in Step 5, if possible.
  • And the last and important thing clearly write down on boxes  "Trampoline: 1 of 2" and "Trampoline: 2 of 2."

How to Use the Trampoline

  • Never permit more than one person on the trampoline at the same time.
  • Children whose age is under 6 must only use those trampolines which are specially designed for their age range and sizes, because trampolines are not appropriate for very young children and toddlers.
  • Always give instructions and supervise the children while they are jumping.
  • Don’t do somersaults on trampoline- if want to do then go to an appropriately organized club.
  • Never permit the children to use of jumping to exit the trampoline.

Rules and Suggestions for Children

  • At All times only one person at a time use trampoline. Play turn wise.
  • Don’t try somersaults or any other risky stunts or flips.
  • Every time jump in the middle of the trampoline.
  • Never try jump off! Always climb down when bouncing stop unless you can injure yourself by jumping off the trampoline onto the ground.
  • Always stand back and keep away yourself from the trampoline when somebody else is jumping.
  • Whenever someone is jumping on trampoline then never try to go under the trampoline.
  • If you notice a cut or crack in the jumping mat, or if the jumping mat, edge cover has come out from the springs then don’t use the trampoline but inform to the adult or supervisor or trainer or parents.
So these are the few simple and easy suggestions for parents as well as for children. If they will follow all these suggestions then no one will not injured from trampoline.

Trampoline is the hottest craze amongst the children all over the world - and a must-have game for the summer. They have the reward of being a form of healthy body as well as being huge fun and enjoy. On a wide range of DIY (do it yourself) stores and garden centres, they benefit the third most wanted gift for children aged 5 to 13. But as they actually spring up in parks all over the country, parents are beneath stress from their children to get one should stop and think before they run to the markets for buying trampoline. All gardens will not be appropriate for the trampoline, it's every time most excellent to think the protection involvement before buying an expensive product that is Trampoline. Hope You all are keeping well. In my previous two posts I started topic that what thing we should consider while purchasing a new trampoline first time. I was talking on features of the trampoline.

Jumping Mat and Spring CoverJumping mat must be strong and hard wearing. It should be smooth when jumper falls on it. Spring mat should also strong and good quality. Both are UV resistant so that they can stand so many years even in direct sunlight.

Number of Springs – Manufacturers will always mention how many springs use on every size of trampoline which they sell. It is obvious thing that the big size trampoline will have more springs than smaller size trampolines. During comparing same size trampoline from different manufacturers, it is not necessary that which have more springs that trampoline is good. Quantity of the springs based on the desired bounce related to the weight of the user. Your younger can face problem during bounce or can impossible to bounce on a large number of springs. That time ask for a advice from your supplier.

Weight limit – Also check the weight limit of every size of trampoline. Every manufacturer mentions the weight limitation on every size of trampoline. But you should have in your mind that how many people will use trampoline in your home and their total weight and also your child’s friends.


What Accessories Should I Consider While Buying?

Safety Net – Check whether supplier providing you safety net or not. If not then ask them for safety net. Because this safety net prevent everyone who use trampoline to fall from it and get injure. It covers whole bouncing area of trampoline. It is getting more popular and proved a good prevention. Make sure safety net cover whole area of the trampoline and also a good quality net. Also check is it included in whole pack or not.

Trampoline Ladder – Trampoline ladder is must for every trampoline. It is easy to use and access trampoline for older and specially for small children with trampoline ladder. Younger children always jump off from trampoline, it can be a risk of injury to them. Never allow to your very younger children to access the trampoline without ladder. Use flat steps ladder instead of tubular steps. Flat steps comfort and easy for children. Check whether ladder is included or not. Some suppliers sell it extra.

Weather Cover – Weather cover also important for trampoline. Weather cover covers the whole trampoline and protects from leaves and birds droppings and also from rain and sunlight. It should be a good quality cover.
